The Linnansaari Eco Hostel is situated on the main island of Linnansaari National Park, on the Sammakkoniemi camping ground. The distance between Oravi and Linnansaari is 5km and by fast boats it takes circa 15 minutes and by a ship circa 30 minutes. The hostel has 5 log huts with two bunk beds, a table and benches. In total 20 beds. On the camping ground there is also camp fire places, common cooking shelter, a sauna by the lake, outdoor toilets and a kiosk/cafe. Your school class can also choose to stay only 1-2 nights in the Eco Hostel and other nights in the apartment hotel in Oravi village. Accommodation only in the summer!
School camp activities in Linnansaari: wilderness meals cooking course, wilderness skills, Oskar and Tilda's forest adventure, giant canoe excursion, lunch canoeing excursion.
Other services: a traditional wood heated sauna by the lake, swimming, nature trails of different lengths, Linnansaari croft, fishing, geocaching.
Meals: meal preparation in the common cooking shelter or by the camp fire place. The school camp groups can prepare their own meals or order catering from Oravi.
Accommodation price: 60€/hut/night. The price does not include bedlinen.
