The whole 18km route from Oravi to Linnansaari is open. The ice is in good condition, there is few cracks next to Issakka island and Peonselkä, there are the bridges to cross the crack safely. The sun is shining and it is circa -5 degreeses, the wind is strong circa 9m/s. The rental equipment in Oravi is open 9-17 and the cafe in Linnansaari is open 10-15.

The routemaster has opened the route from Oravi to Linnansaari. The route will be plowed again during the day. The equipment rental is open 9-17.
EDIT 10.45: The route will have to be closed today after all today. There is water on ice due to rain and it has to freeze over night so that tomorrow will be a good ice.

The route is open and plowed from Oravi to Linnansaari, but the routemaster went to see the situation with snow on the route continuing to Järvisydän. We will try to get the whole route of 18km plowed and opened today if the snowfall stops. The rental equipment is open 9-17.
EDIT 12.50: The snowfall has changed into drizzle and the routemaster from Oravi has plowed half of the whole 18km route.

The skating route has been plowed open from Oravi past Linnansaari to Eevansaaret. The crack close to Issakka island has frozen enough to withstand crossing over it with skates. The cracks on ice have been marked with red tapes. Today wind blows circa 7m/s. Friday we will work to get the whole route from Oravi to Linnansaari open, if there is cracks we will put bridges for crossing them. The rental equipment is open today 9-17.

3/3/2020The skating route from Oravi to Linnansaari and even bit further to Eevansaari is open. The crack close to Issakka island one can go around going on land. For the weekend we will be prepairing bridges to cross over all the cracks on ice.
