On this self guided paddling trip you can enjoy the beutiful archipelago of Linnansaari National Park. The national park has hundreds of islands and untouched nature that guarantees you a peaceful experience. If you are lucky you can meet one of the Saimaa Ringed Seals, otters, beavers or osprays that live in the area.
Accommodation and the base camp is on the main island of Linnansaari National Park. Its ca. 5km of paddling from Oravi (mainland). In Oravi is located the outdoor center where you will get the canoe, paddling gear and route instructions. There is also a shop and restaurant in Oravi.
Accommodation in a tentsile -tree-tent on the main island. In a tent suspended between the trees you sleep like on a cloud in the middle of nature. Compared to a normal tent this is even better, you are higher from the ground, better view to hang out and no cones under your bed. Take your own sleeping bag, or rent sleeping bag or blanket, pillow and bedlinen from Oravi gear rental place. Sleeping pads are already in the tentsile. Tentsile is booked privately for you. The tentsile will be at your use from 2pm onwards until 12noon on the departure date.
Campsite has a kiosk, well, outdoor kitchen, campfire places, eco-toilets and wood-heated sauna (can be reserved online). There is no electricity or running water on the island! On the island there are several marked hiking routes 2-7km and a museum croft.
Please notice that the accommodation is on an island so you need to start your trip with 5km paddling.
Package includes an indian canoe, accommodation in tentsile -tree-tent, life jackets, paddles, barrels, waterproof paddling map and route planning for 2 persons. The canoe is at your use from 12noon (on arrival day) until 9pm (on departure day).

It is possible to add an extra person with 35€/ night from the extra services. If you are more than 3 persons, please book several packages.
Accessibility: On Sammakkoniemi Camping site all the
piers, dry toilets, a cooking shelter and a campfire place are
accessible by wheelchair. Accessible entrance to the Eco Hostel hut is
also available (mention the need of a ramp when making the reservation).
