The skating trail Oravi-Linnansaari 5 km/direction is open, as well as the walking trail and cross-country ski trail on the ice. You can ride a bicycle on the side of the skating trail. The weather is favorable, -4-5 degrees Celsius, partly cloudy and only a little wind. The skating track is open from Oravi to Linnansaari (5 km/one way). The entire hiking track Oravi-Linnansaari-Järvisydän (18 km) is open to hikers, skiers and fatbikes. Today's program: Linnansaari's panckae café is open from 10-15. Sleigh transports from Oravi to Linnansaari every hour from 10-14, there are still plenty of free places, you can also reserve a place at the reception. The skating track has been ploughed and planed down today from Oravi to Linnansaari (5km/one way), the track can be used with both tour skates and kick sledges. A traditional cross-country skiing track has been opened from Oravi to Järvisydän (18km/one way). Lake fish soup can be enjoyed from 11 am in the café in Oravi. The equipment rental in Oravi is open from 9 am to 5 pm.

Oravi's equipment rental is open from 9 am to 5 pm, there are touring skates, kick sledges, skis, snowshoes and even few e-bikes for rent. Salmon soup can be enjoyed in Oravi's cafe today from 11 am onwards.

EDIT 14.30 . The ski track to Linnansaari is open. We will not plough the skating track today because it will be very cold also next night, the snow proteckts the ice from kracking. It is possonble to go on the ice track by kick spark or bike.

The skating track from Oravi to Linnansaari is still closed. Despite the freezing temperatures at night, the surface of the ice has not frozen over the entire track between Oravi and Linnansaari, and is not good for skating. Today is a beautiful sunny winter day, you can ski or walk along the winter hiking trail to Linnansaari or even to Järvisydän. On the way, you can stop to enjoy your own snacks at Linnansaari's fire place or the hut in Savonselkä. From Oravi equipment rental you can rent skis and snowshoes, it is open from 9-17. In honor of Shrove Tuesday, you can get pea soup from 12 noon onwards (as long as the soup lasts) at Oravi's café.

Yeah, not skating today either. Skiing and walking on the hiking trail is possible. Halfway between Oravi and Linnansaari there is a shelter where you can take a break. You can rent skis and snowshoes from Oravi's rental company, we also have two pairs of sliding snowshoes. The rental office and cafe in Oravi is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Linnansaari's cafe is closed on Sunday. We will try to open the skating route on Monday.

Today it's windy and snowing all day, it's impossible to keep Savonselkä open. You can get to Linnasnaare from Oravi by walking, skiing or sledding. The ski track is prepared at 10:30 a.m. and at 12 p.m. Linnansaari's café is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the cafe only accepts cash.
