Oravi – Joutenvesi – Kolovesi Tour
This 80–100 km paddling route takes you from Oravi to Kolovesi National Park and back. Together with the national parks of Kolovesi and Linnansaari, as well as the Joutenvesi Nature Reserve, the route forms a scenically and ecologically remarkable whole. Along the way, you can visit Ukonvuori, home to 5,000-year-old rock paintings. Ukonvuori is the most famous landmark in Kolovesi National Park—its steep cliffs rising from the water create an unforgettable view.
You can camp in the Joutenvesi Nature Reserve, a wild and quiet area located between two national parks. Temporary camping is permitted throughout the area. Joutenvesi consists of numerous islands, with bare rock shores and a highly varied shoreline. In this area, you might spot the rare Saimaa ringed seal—with just over 400 individuals remaining in the Saimaa lake system.
Camping is also allowed in designated sites within Kolovesi National Park, which include fire pits, firewood, and dry toilets.

This is a sheltered lake route with no portages, suitable for both canoes and kayaks. Strong winds may slow down progress.

Accommodation Options
Camping is the primary form of accommodation in the park. Fires and tenting are only allowed in designated areas shown on the map. Some sites may not have firewood service, so always bring a camping stove.

The national park has hundreds of islands and untouched nature that guarantees you a peaceful experience. If you are lucky you can meet one of the Saimaa Ringed Seals, otters, beavers or osprays that live in the area.
The package includes an accommodation in a private tentsile on Linnansaari main island (Sammakkoniemi camping ground) and an indian canoe with paddling equipment.
