Linnansaari and Oravi are part of Blue Finland Touring Route!

Are you planning a summer road trip in Finland? Metsähallitus together with Visit Finland has created several routes for road trips in Finland. 12 day Blue Finland Touring Route is all about waters in Finland. Route starts from the Baltic Sea and travels up to Lake Land finishing at the wild white waters of Ruunaa. Top destination of the Lake Land part is Linnansaari National Park!

Linnansaari National Park

To access into the Linnansaari National Park you can take the regular boat from Oravi village or rent a canoe/ boat. The boat service takes you to the main island of Linnansaari where you can swim in the Saimaa Lake or hike up to the Linnavuori hill 8km. The National Park consists of around 200 islands it's the best place to spot the rare Saimaa Ringed Seal.

Car can be left safely in Oravi while exploring the National Park. For the night you can camp on the main island or stay in the Eco Hostel. In Oravi there is a Apartment hotel as well as luxury lakeside villas. From Oravi you can also find a Village Shop, Restaurant Ruukinranta and in summer time a Thai PopUp restaurant.
